A. THE FRIENDS – ORGANISATION
This starting particular Archive Topic Group ‘A: THE FRIENDS – ORGANISATION‘ focuses on the organisational and internal administrative functional aspect of this Katoomba local group of residents.
The formation of these residents into a local community group initially informally met up together for the first time on Sunday 10th December 1989. The group discussed matters of common local interest particularly the shared concerns about the impost of the motor racing circuit upon immediate residents situated close by.
This section of the archive starts at the very beginning of the Formation of the community group, its focuses, objectives, organisation, fundraising and administration. The table below lists the subtopics pertinent to this organising aspect of the group and each his rather self-explanatory.
As time evolved and the focus of their community activism refined and organised into a incorporated association, the burden and commitment to complying with rules of Association, Charity status and Fundraising snowballed over the years under the NSW Government’s administrative red tape.
