Abstract:
This is a seminal document of The Friends from the group’s early days of conception. Following two initial informal small meetings of local residents of Katoomba Falls Creek Valley, this document was drafted following that community consultation process, and it would have been scribed by Neil Stuart from his agenda and meeting notes.
The 4-page document is the outcome record of that first public meeting concerning The Valley. The meeting was attended by 32 Katoomba residents.
The content of the document focuses on the following:
(1) Six proposals put to the meeting which were all agreed unanimously.
(2) Serves to be the formal starting decision to form the Friends of Katoomba Falls Creek Valley (The Friends).
(3) It restates the aims of The Friends of Katoomba Falls Creek Valley.
(4) It formally creates a ‘Working Group’ as representive of the members with the function of taking action to implement the proposals
(5) It plans for a follow up meeting of the members on 21t January 1990 to receive progress reports of the Working Group and to make further decisions.
