Abstract:
By 1991, just two years after The Friends first formed in late 1989, The Friends had become aware of multiple developer proposed threats to the natural integrity of The Valley.
The Friends had also become aware of Blue Mountains Council’s neglect of The Valley and of its corrupted support for land use developers to do as they please to The Valley, and Council’s closed door meetings out of the public eyes and ears.
These are outlined in Neil’s Newsletter as a means of publicising the campaign fights of The Friends. The frustration of The Friends dealing with multiple battles can be read between the lines in this newsletter. Within the two years, Neil has many battles on his hands through The Friends asa a resident protest group.
